Robert Borden, Managing Partner

Robert Borden, a founding partner of Harbor Ventures Inc., is an innovator in strategic planning, operational improvement, and mergers and acquisitions. With more than 15 years of management consulting experience he brings a broad range of experience.

Mr. Borden has worked on all sides of the health care industry: health insurance, hospital and medical providers, and information systems. In addition, he has been directly responsible for managing primary care operations, providing market analysis and due diligence for initial public offerings, and serving as a staff consultant to several senior management executives.

Mr. Borden served on numerous strategic planning and operational projects in different industries focused on improving quality and lowering costs. In addition, he served as a management consultant at Booz, Allen, & Hamilton, Inc. and the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association.

Mr. Borden completed his undergraduate degree at Lake Forest College and earned his M.A. from the University of Chicago.

Mary Redensek, RN, CPA, Partner

Mary Redensek, a founding partner of Harbor Ventures Inc., brings a unique blend of knowledge to Harbor Ventures. With clinical, financial, and accounting credentials she offers a unique blend of healthcare and business expertise. Ms. Redensek was a management consultant for six years with Deloitte & Touche. Her accomplishments included assisting more than 30 organizations with valuations, financial pro-formas, renovation and expansion projects, managing financial feasibility and debt capacity studies, staff/productivity analyses, work redesign, and quality improvement initiatives.

Ms. Redensek has held numerous financial and clinical management positions. She has done financial analyses and due diligence on numerous companies covering a broad range of industries. In addition, she has held a wide range of clinical management positions in which her clinical and financial background has led to improved quality along with strong financial returns.

Ms. Redensek has earned her B.S. in Nursing at Northern Illinois University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1986.
